Yesterday I got another rabbit. She is 8 weeks old, and extremely friendly! She is more friendly than my older rabbit! She has no problem coming up to me and lying on my back and chest! And she does this to my family as well! Is this normal? I’m glad she is friendly, however I find it odd how friendly she is.

Is this a common thing? or naive and oblivious? haha

It’s usually because they’re in a new environment and are still adjusting. So she’ll be very cuddly for the first week or two. Then when she’s more comfortable with her new home, she’ll become more independent. Also depends on personality too, she may end up staying that way as she grows up.

Baby bunnies tend to be a lot more cuddly and friendly, which is why a lot of people get freaked out when their bun grows up and decides to not like cuddling/being held. Some stay cuddly, but most don’t.

I have two rabbits. One was super friendly and out going from the start and still is. The second one was more interested in exploring her environment but now is really friendly, so maybe personality plays a part in that as well.

They have very varied personalities, so you may have a friendly bunny for life.
When she becomes a teenager, ie. 5 months or so, she may stop being friendly and start getting aggressive, but that’s just normal when her hormones kick in. Try to get her spayed asap, and after a month her basic nature will return. Mature bunnies are less friendly, or at least less cuddly than babies, but their personalities stay very similar to when they are young.

Spockie (my late bunny) was a very friendly bunny who let me hold him for short times, and greeted every visitor’s feet. Samantha, however, is Miss Growly Pants, refuses to be picked up, and is much more shy. But even she is happy to be in the company of family and visitors, she just is more subtle about it. Totally different personalities.
