So recently i changed flowers pellet dish into her veggie dish. i came home from work and noticed she had eaten all her veggies and.not only that, but a tiny bit of yellow liquid was in the veggie dish. Is this normal? Her litter habits are great, everyday.

Do you know what the liquid was – are you thinking it’s urine? In any event, I would not make any kind of assumption from a one time occurrence at this point…

Do you serve her veggies wet? When I do, they leave behind water that is tinted with green/yellow. Could that be it??

That could be it. I just rinsed her romaine lettuce, chopped some up and came home and that is what I saw. I will check again tomorrow. And it was just a little bit too, so it easily could have been from the veggies.

You said it was the bowl you used for the pellets previously too yes? I wonder if there was pellet residue in there too? Maybe combined with the veggies and pellet residue along with some water turned it a yellow color. Hmmm mystery.

I agree with the others, it is most likely veggies juices. It is possible that it is urine and it’s her silent protest against the new change in food dishes but residual water mixed with pellet dust/veggies/hay seems more likely to me. When bunnies protest they don’t usually go for subtleties, so if it were urine, there would be no question about it.

Yea, most likely. Thank you, both of you
