I’m so happy to say I finally found a toy Ziggy will play with for more than 2 seconds.  I bought him a plastic slinky from the dollarstore.  He absolutely LOVES it!  He’s constantly pulling it around and letting it go to spring back into place. Or he’ll “dig” at it to get to the end of it.  I’ve tried to mix it up a bit and parsley inside it, but that just seems to annoy him and he’ll try to squeeze his head into the slinky. lol!

Just thought I would share in case others were looking for toy ideas.

Is all plastic ok or only certain types (stuff made for babies or certain size so they can’t crack it)? My kids put a plastic toy car on the floor by my bun and he really wanted it. I was afraid it would not be ok to chew on so I quickly grabbed it away.

My little guy chewed on and ate(!) the plastic stacking cups I bought him. They were promptly thrown out. But I know others on here have bunnies who like those toys and don’t eat them. I think you need to see if your bunny eats them or not and go from there.

I may try a metal slinky and see if the boys like it. Good idea!

Ziggy doesn’t seem to have a taste for plastic. Just cardboard and wood. Some paper but apparently only if it’s something important I need. haha!

Mine loves his teat ball. I got it in the dog section at petco and put his pellets in it or a treat. He is so funny with it! He carries it in his mouth, hops about two laps around the pen and then into his cage to bat it around. He also hops with it in his mouth while shaking his head up in the air to try to get them out. Too funny!! It is made of rubber but he doesn’t chew on it so I’m not worried as of yet. I’ll have to try a slinky!

Olivia has a rainbow slinky that she loves. I recommend supervised slinky play as I worry that a bun could get their feet caught up in it and panic.

My bunnies love slinkies. They have one that has been in their cage for 6 months, and they still play with them often. My bunnies love their treat ball, but Lionel chews it, so I bought a oxbow Timothy hay apple chew, took out the stem part, and so you have a grass ball with a perfectly sized hole, and it works perfect as a treat ball, plus it’s chewable. And I can buy them for cheap at my local rabbit resque!

Careful not to push the submit button more than once, it can take a while to load. I used to push it lots and it just kept posting.
You can buy a metal slinky at most any toy store, Wal-Mart, target, etc.

I guess I’ll just have to keep my eyes open, I could not find any at Walmart.

Phone books make great chew toys too.
