        Hello BBers!

As most of you know I have a Holland Lop Who is 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days Old. (Yayy! I’f my math is right)

        Now The Site Guidelines Say:

        Recommended Nutritional Value

        Fiber 18% minimum (20 -25% best)

        Fat 1 – 2% max

Protein 12 – 14% max (long-haired breeds may need higher)

        Calcium 1% max

The Pellets I Just Bought Muffin Have Two Analysis, Guaranteed Analysis, and Typical Analysis.

        Guaranteed:

        Fiber 23.0%

        Fat 4%

        Protein 16.0%

        Calcium 1.0%

        Typical:

        Fiber 26.0%

        Fat 4.5%

        Protein 17.0%

        Calcium (Does Not Say)

Is This Okay?  It’s Called Living World Healthy Timothy Formula

Then I Got Another, They Changed The Name To “Healthy Timothy” And It’s Slightly Different!

        Guaranteed:

        Fiber 28%

        Fat 4%

        Protein 16%

        Calcium 1%

        Analytical Constituents:

        Fiber 28%

        Fat 4%

        Calcium (Does Not Say)

        Protein 16%

I Okayed this for my bunny, but I was just wondering if this looks ok to you, Muffin loves it so much, he climbs all over me just to get them!

        Thanks Sorry For The Length!

What are the ingredients of each? The protein and fat are very high. If that’s all you have available, I’d cut the recommended daily amount in half and feed more veggies.

If you’ve already purchased this I’m inclined to say that it will probably be fine because your rabbit is so young. The extra fat and protein is not ideal but at 4 months old they would be getting unlimited anyway so I don’t think it will cause too much harm. I would find a better brand to switch to once this bag is gone. Make sure to do this before you run out so you can switch over slowly.

In the US some good pellets are:
Oxbow Essentials Adult, Oxbow BeneTera, Kaytee Timothy Complete Adult, Kaytee Forti-Diet Pro Health Adult, Sweet Meadow Timothy Pellets, Zupreem Timothy Naturals, and Zupreem Nature’s Promise.

These fall a little outside of the recommendations but are still good:
Oxbow Natural Science, American Pet Diner Timmy Rabbit, Purina Fiber3 Rabbit Chow, and Sherwood Maintenance.

This is just from my independent research and you should always double check labels.
