In about 3-4 months I’ll be moving in with my boyfriend. I’m planning on bringing my rabbits, but the flight is about 4-6 hours, and by car its about 14 hours. Which would be better for my rabbits?

Car imo would be better. You could stop to give them treats, pets, check water. You can adjust them over time to the car beforehand. And you can see them the whole time. In a plane they would be in cargo and frankly I don’t trust baggage handlers with my pets. If they get stressed you can’t tell or comfort them.

I agree, though it is a longer travel period, the car is much better.

I definitely think the car would be better. It’s not easy to find an airline that will let you fly with two rabbits under the seat, and the stress of being in an airport, a plane, etc would be a lot. In a car at least it’s just driving and pretty low key for them.

Yeah, even the airlines that allow pets in the cabin restrict the number of pets total and usually 1 pet per traveler.

I would think the air pressure in a plane would be hard on bunniw. Defiantly by car, for the bunnies sake

I’d also go with the car. And if at all possible, I’d try to get the trip done with as quickly as possible- i.e. don’t spend too many days driving/nights in a hotel. Your buns will settle better if there’s only one new (permanent) place to get used to, instead of a whirlwind of temporary places.

Prob going off track a bit – sorry! Back when I had puppies, about 10 years ago a lady came down south from up north to purchase one and organised for her flight back home. I was horrified at the thought – being alone, shoved around like luggage, etc. Would not recommend it myself, but… she was home in a matter of hours, not days, and her pup is treasured, living in a loving environment with her parents. (What matters to me!) Gee, what a hard question to answer…… Good luck to you and ‘TheLittleBunns’. I wish you the best. Cheers.
