          hi,

I have never asked this question because I thought it was normal. Cookie sticks his head between his back legs and eats his poop. So I guess he pretty much eats it right when he poops. I am a hundred percent sure that he is eating the poo not any fur. He has always done it, but I thought it was normal. So is it normal? Also he has plenty of fresh water, unlimited orchard grass hay, about one cup of leafy greens, and 1/4 cup of pellets in a day. The reason why I thought it was normal was because a lady at Bunny Bunch (an amazing rabbit shelter that I adopted him from) said that rabbits eat some of their poop. So again is it normal?

Yep totally. They need to eat the cecals to absorb the nutrients they didn’t get the first time around since their GI tract is so short.
