My mother’s bun is a sweet little holland lop who has a favorite sitting spot in her house – on top of the forced air grate! He likes to feel the air flow under his fluffy butt! The problem is that he is developing callousses on his feet. Does anyone know of a material she can put over the grate that allows air flow but is easier on his feet?

Try other grate covers. Noggin does this too. We have flat wooden vent covers.

You could fence it off with NIC panels.

How about something like this? It is a foam mat with holes in it, you wouldn’t buy it as “PVC grip mat” as you would have to buy 2000 meters or something, but if you go to the kitchen section at target they have it as padding for the bottom of cabinets. You could also buy a yoga mat, they usually have holes in them.
