So my new bunny has to take medicine and I have been giving him a piece of dried papaya or yogurt snack (little freeze dried yogurt thingie for bunnies) afterwards so that he won’t relate me holding him to just the negative of giving him medicine (he does not always like the syringe in his face)  I know that he cannot have too many sweets.  We tried him on Swiss Chard and it was not a big hit.  He eats mostly hay and some pellets and drinks plenty of water.  What should I try next?  I would love a reward that I can give him when I pick him up that I can give a couple of times daily.  I read that a few people give their bunnies cilantro.  Is this a good start for my baby?

        thanks

Mine really loves cilantro and mint. Cilantro seems to be a good starter veggie. Also, I would advise against anything yogurt or dairy based though. They are not good for a rabbit’s tummy. (even though they say they are safe for bunnies they aren’t)
Oxbow also makes some good barely or veggie treats along with strawberry treats that your bun may like.

Try more fragrant herbs like cilantro or parsley. You can also use dried vegetables and freeze dried fruits as treats.
