Hi, AGAIN, But I Cant Help But Notice That For The Last Few Weeks My BunBun has….

        HAIR tied through its DROPPINGS

She Also Makes Coughing Sounds When She Grooms Herself, And Sometimes she Leaves Bald Patches where she groomed and pulled hair of herself

NO She is NOT Making A Nest…

        So PLEASE help!

Also, How Can I Help Her PASS THROUGH and AVOID the hair ingestion?

        Thanks For Your Help!

She may be molting. You will need to brush everyday to reduce her eating hair. Make sure she is eating lots of hay to keep things moving through.

Brushing is number one. It helps for me to brush everyday or multiple times if my bunny is shedding a lot. I’ve heard it helps to wet your hands and pet your rabbit to pick up loose hair (the hair sticks to your wet hands).

And to keep your bunnies bowel moving and pass the hair make sure she has hay all the time (which she should normally). I know my bunny eats more hay right after I refill it so refilling or ‘fluffing’ it more often may help encourage eating lots of hay.

*Sorry to repeat what LongEaredLions said we must have posted at a similar time!

Haha mollys1, we did post similar advise. I hate when I take a long time to type a detailed answer and by the time I post, people have already posted what I was going to say…

I agree with what everyone else has written. I do the above plus you can also try Oxbow papaya tablets. When my rabbits started having strings of fur in their poop I started giving them one every day or every other day and haven’t had any problems since.
