I adopted a beautiful holland lop boy, Donnie, about a week ago, and been in love with him ever since

Donnie: “I’m currently living in rainy Vancouver. I am given lots of love and care by my mum and pops! I’m a curious bun, so I like to explore and sniff everything around me. I also loved being pet, but once you try to carry me- all hell breaks loose. My favourite food is cilantro.I could eat dat all day, but I’m too young so I can only get 1 tbsp per day Anyway, check out my mum’s instagram ( @nastooz) for more pics and vids of me! hehe, have a bunniful day.”

*Check out my instagram for more pics and vids of my babyboy and show him some love: @nastooz

I plan on neutering him when he’s about 4/5 months and we’re gonna have a little party for him then (I know, I smother him! haha).
Also, 50% he poops outside his litterbox, but he mostly pees in his litterbox though. If you have any tips, please let me know! He’s too young for treats, so I can’t really train him with fruits. What I’ve been doing is just putting his poop and pee in his litterbox so he knows that’s where he should go, and petting him when he DOES do it. Other than that, I don’t know what else to do!

Btw, does anyone know how to get rid of stuck on dirt and hairknots? He has really bad stuck-on dirt/poop on his feet because his past owner kept his cage pretty dirty. He also squirms when I try to clean him. Any suggestions? I might just take him to the vet.

          Welcome to binky bunny!!!
I don’t think there is very much about his box habits until he is neutered.:s

Aww welcome to BinkyBunny! Donnie is super ADORABLE! Please add photos of him to our picture threads in the Lounge too! hehe

It sounds like you’re doing the necessary already for litterbox training… maybe see if there’s a particular hay he likes to put in there so he’s enticed to spend more time there while he eats and does his business?

You can try using a human nail clipper to clip off the hairknots… I know for pee stains using cornstarch and a wet cloth might help… otherwise just wait it out for the fur on his feet to shed and he’ll have a clean new coat eventually now that he’s in a clean, loving home!
