i have tried EVERYTHING to get Ralphie to sit still so i can bunny burrito him, or pick him up in any way. I manage to groom him by giving him a few treats and he likes to lick my fingers but that doesnt necessarily mean he’s “still.” i need to clip his nails! i tried the bunny burrito today and he was NOT having it and my arms are scratched up from the variety of ways i’ve tried to hold him. I don’t WANT to put him through that but i need to be able to check him over once in a while and cut his nails. help!

I dunno if it helps but with Mako I’m finding it helps if I lean super close to her and then scoop her up to my chest and hold firmly, then gently lower her onto her back.

No matter what mine won’t sit still as well. I can’t even get him fast enough to scoop up! Well he will…when I pet him. This guy can read my mind, I kid you not. If I have the intention to pet and cuddle him, he will flop down and melt into the floor right then & there. And let me touch him for hours, if I choose to. He loves his nose & head rubs. BUT if I even take one step towards him with the intention of putting him back in his cage or trim his nails…he will make a mad dash and find one of his (not so) secret places to hide. I gave up the nail trim a long time ago, he goes to the vet for that next week. Good thing they include that in the regular check up.
