        Hey guys

I'm trying to teach Poopsy some usefull things like going to his cage or to behave when I have to hold him for some reason.. And I liked to reward him with some yummy treat! I didn't want to buy treats from the pet store because I know that's not that healthy for him..

What do you guys feed your bunny when his a pretty boy? I've tried carrots and he doesn't even nibble them!!

        Thank you

Honestly, mine goes bonkers for pellets. He gets 1/8 cup a day so I just measure that out in the morning and use that amount for various things. Sometimes I’ll scatter a few around his pen so he has to look for them, sometimes I’ll put them in his cage if I need him in there for some reason, sometimes I’ll hand feed some if I need to get some grooming/handling done. He is very motivated by them. Perhaps it is because he is limited in the amount that he gets. He just LOVES them!
I also bought the Oxbow veggie treats and give one a day. I break it in half so I get more mileage out of it. I feel like Oxbow is generally a safe bet as long as you are not over-feeding treats…

I forgot to add that if your bun’s tummy can tolerate banana (I give mine just a small sliver) they tend to go wild for them! He would do anything to get to his banana slice!

I use dried fruit and vegetables as treats, just make sure to get ones without seasoning and additives. Usually get them from pet and grocery stores.

If you have a hard time finding craisins in Portugal, you could try raisins instead. You could also try small bits of fresh fruit, such as apple or pear.

My buns turn into complete cookie monsters for any of Oxbows bunny biscuits! I break the big ones into several pieces. They also love Sunseed Dried Papaya and fresh fruit, their faves being Banana, Pear and Peach.

My boy is obsessed with raisins, he’ll try and scale the bookshelves if I put them up there!
I also get bags of mixed fruit, the one I have at the moment has some dried banana in it. Fresh strawberries too, and very very occasionally biscuits from the pet shop (only for special occasions though!)
