I would like to start Ralphie on some fresh veggies soon but i'm not sure how to go about doing it or if he's even old enough. He's around 5 months old.

My concern is buying veggies and having some go bad because i have to introduce gradually. that being said, i know i should do it one type at a time to monitor his tummy but how much do i feed him when we are starting? i'm picturing one leaf one day, two the second day, etc. that of course might be me being way too careful lol. also, i'm familiar with safe and unsafe veggies, that's been pretty clear in my research, so i'm bascally looking for what you consider to be "gradual" introduction of fresh veggies as a totally new part of his diet.

5 months is definitely old enough.

I would start with one type of veggie, something like romaine or leaf lettuce is a popular choice, and give him a bit to try. You can start with one leaf, or even a half a leaf, then increase gradually over the course of a week if he’s doing ok. Each of mine only eat about 4-6 big leaves of romaine a day, plus a little parsley, so adding one leaf a day seems reasonable. Then the next week you can add in a small amount of something else.
