my rabbit is like stuck in the molt or whatever its called, he has lost half of his coat and now the rest is just super ugly and i want him to finish molting so his new coat can finish growing in. i heard calf manna really helps with that ? does anyone know where i can get this ? like would walmart sell it ? is it made for rabbits? or would i have to go to a farm or something to pick it up ?

Calf Manna is a performance supplement. I've seen it used for young or underweight animals to help with growth/weight gain. I've never heard about it helping with a molt and I think it would probably just make a normal healthy rabbit fat. I've only seen it sold in feed stores.

Who suggested it for molt? I think the best option in your situation is to just be patient and wait for his coat to come in naturally.

It was recommended to me for putting muscle and weight on my older bun Freddy. I never heard of it for helping a bunny molt. It should only be given if absolutely needed. I give my Freddy who is 3 lbs 1 teaspoon every other day.

I think sticking with grooming and plucking him may help.

I’ve heard it’s safe for weight gain, but when I tried it Chuck wouldn’t eat it. I can’t see how any supplement would help with molting; molting or shedding happens when the new fur is ready to grow, and the old is pushed out. Unless your animal is shedding from being nutritionally poor, I don’t think a supplement could possibly do anything.
Brush daily and use a wet paper towel to finish off. It’s horrible to have so much fur flying, but it doesn’t last long

I don’t think it will help with coat, and could cause weight gain in a normal rabbit. I’d just stick with brushing and it will grow back in soon enough.
