I just walked into Rodgers room (the bathroom) and he completely flipped. He ran back and forth behind the toilet and thumped. He was afraid of my hand and everything. A couple raisins let me pet him as he’s stopped thumping but what did I do? It’s later than usual because I was out last night could that be why? He’s been here for two ad a half weeks and never done this.

Although mine don’t seem to notice – I understand that some buns are very sensitive to smells – like using a different perfume, lotion, pet another animal?

It sounds like you startled him.

Another thing to consider is some rabbits are more territorial than others and it can take 2 or more weeks for them to fully settle in. If he is a territorial rabbit entering the bathroom could be like you entering his territory and cause him to react poorly to you. I know some people here can't clean their rabbits cages while they're in there, ect…

He’s never done it before. He’s very skittish today I feel bad. He’s getting his adult coat (the entire patch from his eyes to his ears and all the way to the back of his head is “bald”) and he is starting to itch at his stitches from neutering almost 3 weeks ago.

He should be pretty healed up from his neuter by now… Does he still have stitches?

Yes. The kind that dissolve. I was warned they’d start to get itchy.
