I have recently moved to Surrey in South England, and have yet to find anywhere that sells decent hay. All I have found so far is meadow hay which my two buns won’t touch! So, does any of my fellow Brits out there have any ideas as to where I could get hay from? I’m wiling to order online but not sure which places to try. So far I’ve been looking at ings hay and another timothy one based in Scotland. Any help greatly appreciated!

Do you live anywhere near some farms, or stables? I have a friend who buys bales of hay for her horses at a local farm and she sells me themfor £5 each (incredibly cheap bearing in mind they last over half a year). If that’s a possibility I’d suggest looking into it as it tends to be the cheapest option.

I’m sure there’s a Pets At Home shop near you, they’re a big chain. Depending on what part of Surrey you’re in, I’m in Sussex and there’s a store in Crawley. They sell all sorts of different varieties, including Timothy Hay which everyone is so fond of. I buy a sack of dust free hay from my local independent pet shop. Look online too, some shops may do samples to try. What part of Surrey are you in? x

I use the hay experts and I would recommend them!
Lots of variety, good shipping, and they sell food, litter, toys etc too

There’s a good Pets at Home near you, about 15/20 mins south on the A23 in Crawley (it’s actually on the outskirts of town on the same complex as Hobbycraft), I’m about 30 mins south of you, in Burgess Hill so I sometimes go there. x
