Aside from the thumping I get when I take his litter box out (which i now either do when he is eating out playing out of his cage) I've been getting a lot of thumps at what i thought was pretty random times. Now I believe it's when he's hungry because it usually happens when i'm getting ready to leave somewhere (work, dinner, etc.), which happens to be around when i feed him his pellets. this morning he thumped at my boyfriend while we were getting ready to leave for breakfast, but once he was fed he was quiet. i know it's usually a fear response or territorial but could he be thumping because he's ready for food/attention?

Ashe used to "pick up" our feet with her mouth and move them, but now if we take too long to get out of the way she thumps loudly and takes off the other direction. I suppose it could be impatience. I just thought she was very annoyed  She also thumps when someone is outside the window. FREAKS ME OUT. We are on the second floor so I can't see or hear ppl down there, but she can! So I peek out the window to make sure there isn't anyone hanging on the side of our apartment, and so far, it's always been the neighbors sitting on a curb outside LOL

Rabbits thump to show disapproval. Stickers will thump at me if I tell her “no” and give me a death glare. She also will thump at me if I interrupt her. Or am in her way…

Mine has taken to thumping when I put him to bed. Or when I leave him in his pen while I get ready he thumps because he would rather I just hang out with him all day! LOL. I’m beginning to think it is more than just fear as I can’t imagine what mine would be afraid of. Who knows what goes through their heads!

It’s attitude! (Also know as bratitude or bunitude!)

                Consider it teenage eyerolling.
