        Hello!

I have recently got my male rabbit George a female companion, Ruby.

I picked up Ruby today, her and George had a great start! Ignoring and then a small amount of mounting and then they just snuggled. My issue is that George is now obsessed with mounting her and she's getting very fed up!

I'm aware that the bonding takes a while but Ruby is starting to lose her patience and has tryed to nibble at George a bit but he still continues. He allows her to eat small amounts of food before jumping on her again.

They do a lot of circuling which I am worried will turn into fighting. Ruby is showing some tolerance but I am not too sure how long that will last.

The mounting is becoming constant, will he ever stop?!

Is he neutered? If not then he will likely continue this behaviour until she gets so annoyed she will bite him, and that can be a serious bite too and circling sounds like she really is getting her last nerve humped on.

Sounds like he is old enough to be castrated though if he isn’t done. If he IS done though and she is tolerating it for now then allow him to mount for a couple of seconds and then gently push him off. He gets to mount and assert his dominance, and she doesn’t get harassed for as long.
