Ok so I need some advice. Yesterday Nigel seemed fine with the possible exception of sleeping inside his condo yesterday afternoon when he normally sleeps out in the open. Other than that he was eating and pooping fine. Then last night we left the house around 4:00 and got home around 10:30. Nigel was stand of fish, he normally comes into the living room and cuddles with me while I watch tv but last night he refused to do so. So I cuddles him a bit in his area in the hallway and around 11:00 we headed to bed. By 12:30 he woke my husband and I up because he was thumping. I went down to see him and he thumped twice ran into his condo and growled at me. I was unable to calm him so I went back upstairs. Once upstairs he thumped twice more so I came down again, got a pillow and a blanket and just sat with him for about an hour. After an hour and with a kink in my neck from trying to sleep on the floor, Nigel was much calmer, he let me cuddle him for several minutes and so I went back up to bed. Early in the morning I got up to check on him and was flopped on the floor and looking quite relaxed so I went back to bed. Around 7:00 my husband was up and fed Nigel some carrot and some broccoli (too much as it turns out since despite my continued warnings he over feeds poor Nigel, food is love to him).

Anyway, that’s the back story it is now 11:30 and Nigel is hiding in his condone refusing to let me let him. He has nibbled a few strands of hay but is turning his nose up at his favourite rabbit pellets and dandelion greens. He has popped but only about 5 pellets. The drug store opens in 20 minutes so I thought I should go get some of the baby gas liquid the name of which escapes me at the moment. What else can I be doing now?

I no sooner hit send when he decided to stick his head out and eat some hay. He’s now had three dandelion flowers and about seven leaves as well as some hay and he rolled around his treat ball and ate some pellets. Now I just need home to poo!

            Has he pooped yet?

Not sure what to tell you. Could have been a mild case of gas. When my buns have upset tummies, they are usually lethargic and refuse food.

The liquid you are thinking of is Simethicone.
