        Hi everyone,

I’m knew to this but hoping someone can give me a bit of advice!
I’ve got a baby boy bunny called bailey (he is my darling!) and when I was stroking him today I noticed 2 small lumps on the tips of his ears (he’s lop).
There are no other bunnies or animals here and he doesn’t go outside so it can’t be another animal hurting him, does anyone know what this could be?
I looked up ear mites but this doesn’t look like that; they’re just 2 lumps (abit smaller than apple seeds) that are a bit scabby. I’ve noticed him itching the ear they’re on too. There’s no flea dirt, and he went to the vet for jabs last Monday so I would think he should be healthy, but I’m abit concerned it might be more than just a random scab….
        Any help is much appreciated!

          Welcome!!

What I’m thinking is -did he get his nails trimmed at the vet? Sometimes after they get a trim they are a bit sharp and can scrape their ears when they are scratching and grooming. So a possibility. Your able to rule out a lot because you keep him indoors and not around other animals, so I’m thinking you could likely just keep a close eye and see if they stay the same, worsen/spread (see a vet right away) or start to go away. But to me sounds like maybe a scrape from his own nails.

He’s never had his nails trimmed as they are still too close to the quick. They’re really sharp and he’s always leaving marks on me so you’re probably right. I’ll keep an eye it over the next couple of days, he seems fine other than that!

            Thanks for the help!
