  Well, about 2 weeks ago my 5 1/2 month old Flemmie, Jo-Jo, slammed hard into the wall of puberty! She started marking her territory with poops & pee spots – all around her cage and her hidey castle – like “This is the line you shall not cross! Mine! Mine! Mine!”
  Her appetite has increased and, luckily, she’s become super cuddly and snuggly.
  Her spay is set for next Tuesday – at my husbands’ vet practice. Talk about pressure on HIM! “You take good care of my baby!!!!”

  Felt really guilty about luring her into the cat carrier with a trail of raisins, but at least there was zero struggling to get her in. She went off with hubby to his office where his partner will do the spay this morning. Hubby works only a half day today, so very soon after she wakes up he’ll be bringing her home. Any tips to make her more comfy? I’ve thoroughly cleaned her cage and cut a cardboard box way down so she has a low sided litterbox to use. Should I confine her to her pen for the day or let her roam?

  Really just allow her to relax and don’t fuss over her. Try to keep the area draft free too.
