In his cage where do most people position the water bowl? Lately when he runs around he tends to get beddin into hhis bowl and this doesn’t drink the water. Any suggestions on where to put it so it doesn’t happen as he doesn’t like the bottle?

I think the best long-term solution would be to litter box train him so there isn’t any bedding in his cage to begin with. That kinda just comes with the territory of giving a water bowl though. My bunny is free range and I still have to clean her water dish out at least every other day because it gets dust/hair/whatnot in it. Trying to keep the bedding away from the dish will help but it’s always going to need attention to keep it clean.  Maybe lay down some newspaper on that part of the cage?  But really, it is much easier, cheaper and more convenient to remove the bedding entirely.

Our water bowl is placed right inside the pen door. No litter/hay gets in there, but she has a very large 4×8 foot pen so it’s quite far from the litterboxes.

I would just try to position it on the other side if possible, and clean it out regularly (at least 1-2 times a day)…
