Anyone have recommendations for nail clippers? I’ve had my buns for over 2 years and I’ve never clipped their nails. Since I have three now, I don’t think it’s fair to ask the place I take them to clip all three. It’s a shelter that does adoption events and clips for free. I pay/donate but there’s always a huge line; even with two before I felt bad. Anyhow, I recently got the courage up to start clipping and for the light nails, it’s not a problem. The clipper I had was a tiny SuperPets clipper. It worked really well but the handle is so small. Went to buy a Furminator and there was a combo pack with a nail clipper. It has a heafty handle but the nail clipper itself is HORRIBLE. Nails got smashed instead of clipped .

So, any recommendations? It’d be helpful if it had something to help with black nails too. Tried hold it up to light and it still looked all black to me.

Yep, kitty nail clippers that look like tiny scissors.

I third kitty nail scissors. Work great! I got mine for about $3 and had them for a couple years without any issues.

Both of the ones I have are scissor style. The Furminator one is for cats; it just sucks. The SuperPets one is tiny… so tiny I feel like it’s going to break (works well though).

I’ve never used these so I’m not sure on quality but I did notice the other day that Safari makes a pair with a larger handle:

I’m not sure if that would fix the too small issue?

Thanks for the link. Mine looks about the same so maybe I just have to get used to it. I’ve only clipped a couple times so I’m still a weeny and possibly projecting it onto the tools instead =).
