         Hi,

I recently found my lionhead bunny PewPew has a wet nose, I don’t know if he is sick or not. I attached some pictures to illustrate what I mean.  Someone with rabbit care experience please help me “diagnose”. I had been having him for about 10 months, and I will neuter him this November. I didn’t notice any habit change, he still has a good appetite and looks energetic as always. The liquid below his nostrils is a little sticky and happens on both sides. I don’t know how long he has the wet nose now, like I said I didn’t see he acts abnormal . Few weeks ago he seemed shedding a lot hair, especially on his back the relatively thick hair. But I assume it’s the seasonal shedding. Any advice would be appreciated!

          Hi Bunnypew,
Any time your bunny has something that gives you concern it is always good to get them to a vet immediately. Early action can not only saves their lives it can save you a lot of money…
Wet noses are an indication of several problems most of which will require antibiotics.
I urge you to contact and visit your vet as soon as physically possible.
Whilst members here are very knowledgeable and able to advise on dosing tecniques etc for an already diagnosed condition none of us are able to diagnose a medical problem remotely over the internet…
Please make an appointment with your vet…

It’s hard to tell anything from a picture and like Roberta mentions, we cannot diagnose illness. A runny nose could be a number of things and a vet is always your best bet if you think there is something not right with your bun.

Is there any coloured discharge or sneezing?

            Your bunny is really adorable.

I don’t think there’s colored discharge, and didn’t see frequent sneezing. And I touched his front paws few times they are dry. But the liquid does feel a little sticky. I already made appointment online, hope the vet can get back to me soon. Thanks!!
