Took my rabbit into vet on Saturday when he didn’t eat his morning pellet.  He was released on Monday.  Diagnosis was gi statsis and bladder sludge, but vet believed the underlying cause was kidney issues. Dewey goes in for an ultrasound next week.

Today, he is more like his old self. He is really craving and eating veggies, a little pellet, but no water.  He is pooping, not as much as normal, but it is better.  He is not drinking water and that is unusual for him.  He is also not really peeing.  There are small spot of urine in his box and that is it.

Been in contact with the vet yesterday and today. He will see Dewey on Friday first thing.

Feeling pretty stressed.  I know the kidney is not in good shape.  I suspect there is a blockage or worse.

I am lucky in that I work from home and can check on him frequently.  Don’t want to lose this bunny. We’ve been through head tilt together when i first adopted him.

So sorry… Hopefully the ultrasound will show something that can be fixed.

I’m very sorry to hear your bunny is unwell. I know how hard and stressful that is. Your bun is lucky to have such a caring person.

            Did your vet do bloodwork?

Please let us know how your vet visit goes. (((((((Dewey))))))
