Hi — just want to introduce myself and bunny.  I guess I should first say that the bunny is not technically mine . . . My son came home late Saturday night a few weeks ago with a bunny his girlfriend had gotten but couldn’t keep.  I’m told that he announced to his Dad, “Mom won’t say no, she loves bunnies.”  So, the bunny is technically my grandbunny (I guess if I’m not old enough to have grandchildren — ha ha — I must be old enough to have grandbunnies!)  Anyway, my grandbunny’s name is Kieko (she was Jack Jack until the vet determined that he was a she).  Kieko is around 10 +- weeks old, supposedly some type of dwarf (not looking that way tho!), looks like a cottontail but has been officially confirmed to be domestic, and is the sweetest thing I have ever seen.  She is loving, gives tons of kisses, cuddly, binkies all over the place, understands the meaning of “No”, yet has a mind of her own.  Our family has had a blast watching and playing with her.  We’ve even followed many od the NIC condo designs and built her a mansion — 4 NICs tall by 4 high by 2 deep.  I just spent my vacation “accessorizing” it!  So next will be a companion for Kieko, after we make sure we don’t end up with hundreds of little bunnies!  Guess that’s us in a nutshell!

Thanks!  Yes the avatar is my son holding Kieko.  I had no idea bunnies could be so lovable — I’ve always liked rabbits but my only experience with them was with our school’s class pet (all he wanted to do was stare at the TV when I brought him home on weekends . . . hmm couchbunny).  Yesterday, Kieko wore herself out running around the room and came over and sat next to me.  I started petting her and she flopped on her side — kept petting her (she even let me rub her belly and feet!).  Her nose slowed down and her eyes started closing.  Way too sweet.  I had a million things to do but I just sat there petting her until she woke up!  My husband is getting attached to her too — he wont admit it but he loves it when he’s on the sofa and she hops up and lays down on his shoulder.
