I have a 10  month old rabbit who is about 4-5 pounds. My roommate was trying to encourage him back into his cage, and the bunny managed to snag her nail and ate it. It was a short, pinky nail. This happened last night, and he seems fine today. Will he likely digest it? Or should I be doing anything to check for blockages?

Hmmm… Bunnies will eat the strangest things.. Especially if they are feeling a bit vindictive. I.E. Being put back into an enclosure when they are in the mood to party…
The best you can do now is keep up the hay veg and water and hope it passes through quickly… Monitor his behavior and poop to make sure everything is going on as it should. Check for healthy gut noises and make sure there is no bloating.

Thank you for your response he probably was a bit grumpy that I wasn’t around for his feeding time. He’s fine now, and pooping like normal, but I’ll definitely keep an eye on him!
