Above are pictures of my 8 week old bunny which i got yesterday.

Shelter didn’t know the breed of the bunny or the gender…
I figured a lot of you know your bunnies and would hopefully be able to help me, and will also be able to help me come up with a name for him/her.

Because he/she is so young i am unable to tell if its a boy or girl so preferrably unisex names please
He is very cheeky, and not shy or scared of anything
Names i am thinking of are bam bam, bandit, rambo and cheeky, i am too indesisive so help is very wanted haha.

Also what age can i get him/her desexed? Thank you

Aww he/she is gorgeous! I like the name Cheeky, I think it looks like that will suit. In my case, it didn’t matter what I named mine, I end up calling him the strangest names!

It’s really hard to tell breed sometimes when they’re so young, as far as I can tell there are less breeds available in Australia than the US and Europe, probably because of our crazy customs department! His ears look too long to be a Netherland Dwarf which is the most common petstore breed here. And his ears haven’t lopped like my bun, although they might still. He could be a bit of a mix!

My vet wouldn’t desex until they’re six months old, though I’ve seen others on the forum say you can neuter/spay as young as four months.

I have no idea as to the breed, very probably a mix of several breeds. Just want to say that he/she is super adorable and congrats on your new bunny!

It’s hard to tell breed when they’re young, and many many bunnies are mixes. To me, it looks like a holland lop whose ears haven’t lopped yet. The color is very common in hollands, and the ears are far apart and kind of drooping to the sides, which makes me think they might lop. I could be completely wrong though!

              Very cute little bun.

Congratulations on your new bun. He/she is super cute!

As for names – I wanted to name my bun Lexi for boy or girl – but my husband nixed the name. If boy – the official name would be Lex (like Lex Luthor) 🙂

Cheeky Tiki, very cute! No idea on breed, I think he/she’s still too young for a good guess just yet. I’m not thinking lop though, the face isn’t flat enough.

Congrats! I love the name and Tiki is precious! No matter the breed, you definitely have a good looking bun with a great personality to match =D
