I know cotton is good but what about. 60% cotton 40% polyester? I don’t have any towels I can give to the bunny I’d have to go buy cheap stuff

My bunny loves to chew on and eat the 100% cotton sheets and things I’ve put in his enclosure. Now I’ve switched to fleece blankets which I got very cheaply at K-mart. No signs of eating yet and they’re machine washable. He does like to drag them from place to place but that’s it.

I too have cheap fleece-blankets for my buns. I used to have rag-rugs and towels but Bam ate parts of them and it wasn’t good for his stomach, long threads can get stuck and harm their intestines. He’s nibbled at the fleece as well but not a lot and it hasn’t seemed to harm him.

Any blankets can be dangerous if chewed and ingested. Make sure, when offering blankets, to keep a very close eye to make sure this is not happening. Some bunnies cannot have blankets at all because they chew them. Any ingested fabric can cause a very dangerous blockage.

I agree that any blanket is unsafe if the bunny is chewing it.

I prefer fleece. When chewed it breaks into tiny pieces, instead of threads, which are less likely to cause issues if ingested.
