        Hi,

I’m just looking for some feedback from anyone that gives their rabbits glucosamine. Have you seen a positive difference?
I’m wanting to start a couple of my buns on it. I found a liquid form (glucosamine hydrochloride) that is raspberry flavour. Hopefully they’ll take it ok.

That’s cool you found a liquid one! While I’ve never seemed to have success I would surely keep trying it because I don’ think it harms them. Let us know your thoughts once you start using it.

No experience using it with rabbits. I do get supplements for my dog though. They make her fart, but I think it is the beef flavoring so I don’t think you would need to be concerned about that part. LOL

              Will do Sarita.
This liquid one I haven’t held actual bottle in my hands as yet. I’m keen to read rest of the ingredients to see if they’re appropriate. I want to avoid artificial sweetners.

Lol LBJ! Hopefully the raspberry flavour doesn’t have same effect.
ETA: Do you give the salt form for your dog? I read its better on their stomachs.

The ingredients list doesn’t say what form it is. It just says glucosamine. They are soft treats, the only ones I can find. All of the other supplements at the store are these hard tablet-like chewables that are hard for her to chew. She’s so old and her molars are worn down. I imagine the gas is from the other ingredients.

I don’t have any experience with buns, but a horse at my stable who is 18 has been on liquid glucosamine every winter for the past 8 years or so. If she’s not on it, she gets so sore in the morning, she has a hard time walking. It makes a big difference for her.

Wow! Thanks LPT. So good it helps her.

Although I found a brand available here that does the liquid one, Im yet to find it in stock. I’ve ended up getting a vegetarian capsule form to start off.

Ill get Jersey, Rumball, Maple and ME onto it.
It’s Rumball I’m anxious to help. Over this last week I’ve seen a change in him.

Stupid me took the sales assistants word and didnt check the bottle itself. I ended up with tablets, not capsules.
Discovered that after opening the bottle.

Keep us updated on the supplements! I’m actually interested in testing it out for my bunbun Kimo, as he is turning 10 in a month O_O
