I’m sorry I’m posting so much-I’m just so paranoid I’m going to do something to hurt Nellie Belle…I’ve never had a rabbit before her and I’m still trying to learn.

Everything I read says something different about giving her vegetables. Some places say she can’t have them until 6 months, some say 3 months. I’m not even sure how old she is! I’m estimating she’s about 11 weeks right now.

What should I do about giving her veggies? How would I go about introducing veggies to her? What would be good things to start with?

Veggies can be introduced from 12 weeks one at a time (a new one every 3 days to a week) a little at a time.
They should be fine and love the veggies but if you find it upsets their tummies eliminate the veggie in question from their diet. If all veggies upset them you can wait until they’re a bit older but they should be absolutly fine.
Binkybunny has a great info section about a good rabbit diet and a veggie list with everything you need to know. It is for neutered adults but its a good guide for veggies.

Thanks for posting the diet page link, hannaroo!

You should be fine to start offering a basic veggie this week. Romaine is tolerated well by most bunnies and is a good lettuce to start with.
