Hi y’all! Now that my flemmie, Jo-Jo, is just over 4 months old, and pretty tall when she stands up on her hind legs, we are having to bunny proof things I never imagined before! She likes to cruise around the coffee table looking for food we may have left. Yesterday she stood up (her shoulders are just a bit taller than the coffee table now), stretched her neck and grabbed my banana peel off the table and ran! (I took it away). Then she hopped up on top of the dogs’ crate, where we have a solid top and we keep her food & supplies. (And this is 30 inches off the ground !) She started digging at the bag of food… So now everything is in the closet. She is really learning how to get where she wants to go! I never thought I’d be bunny proofing up so high!

Flemmies are such characters! And Jo-Jo sounds extra mischievous, but that is probably due to her age too. My 6 month old lionhead/rex hopped in the shelf where I keep my bird and bunny supplies yesterday and was doing the same thing.

My mom had a completely cage less house flemmie in the 80s that loved to sneak into my grandparent’s room in the middle of the night, jump on my grandfather and nip him quick before bolting away and hiding. As soon as Popa would fall back asleep, Cocaine would do it again! (Yes, that was the rabbit’s name. My mom and uncles were all in their late teens/early twenties and she was white, had pink eyes, and sniffed a lot lol.)

            Lol! That’s hysterical!
            Jo is definitely a character.
Every time I sit down on the couch with something in my hands (phone, cup of coffee, ice cream sandwhich – which she grabbed out of my hands, still in the wrapping, and bolted with) she jumps into my lap to see if it’s bunny food! And she is free fed pellets and hay all day, with lots of greens morning & night, so she’s not hungry, just a ninja thief!
