So my cousin loves to sew, especially pillows. So she is sewing one for Cookie made out of felt, since Cookie loves soft things! So I just wanted to make sure that felt material is ok for him to have around.

If it’s true felt it is actually made from compressed rabbit fur.

I suggest when giving any new material to a bunny, you watch closely for a while to make sure they are not chewing and ingesting it. My bunnies don’t chew material but my Bridge Bunny, Stormy did and couldn’t have blankets.  Any type of fabric, if ingested, can cause a dangerous blockage.

Just make sure he’s not eating it. Any type of fabric can cause a blockage in the intestines if they eat enough. I would only let him have it while supervised so you can take it away if he starts eating it.

                Thanks!!!
Cookie has all kinds of materials in his pen that he lays on. Occasionally he’ll dig at some of them, but he never even bites at the material. So I guess it is fine. But just in case I will watch him closely with the felt for the first couple of days.
