  I adopted Peter last Monday from the humane society I work at. I’m still getting to know him, of course, but I also noticed that, when he comes out of his encloser, he constantly tries to hump either my leg or my arm. I’m new too having rabbits as companions, so at first I didn’t know what he was doing. He circles me, nips and licks me, then grunts at me. And after doing a little research, I found out that it was a mating ritual he was doing. The solution would be to neuter him, right? Well, the thing is he’s already neutered and saw the vet last week – he’s in perfect health.
  
  I’m not sure if it’s just a … something (trait? quirk?) of his, but it’s getting annoying and I’m not quite sure what to do. Does anyone else have this problem? The only things I’ve read are about unneurtered males doing this, not neurtered ones.

  I can’t give you a definite answer, but I can say my spayed female rabbit humps my husband when she gets excited about pellets or of he’s standing with bare legs (wearing shorts rather than pants). We find it strange too…but I think she does it when she’s riled up about something. However it’s not a daily thing.

  It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who has an altered humper, haha.
  
  I can’t be certain about that, but he was at my work for a good few months and he was already neutered then.

  My neutered male humps my forearm. He was about 4-5 months when he was neutered and is now almost 3 years old. He doesn’t just do it randomly. It is usually early in the morning at our first meeting of the day when I love on him really good and he is in a loving mood….that’s usually when mine does it. I do not know if this is “ok” or not…..do neutered males ejaculate?

  I can’t be too sure about them being able to do that since I don’t usually let Peter go that far. I usually stop him when he’s doing ‘love nips’ – some of those hurt! I’m thinking this may just be something he does, but the next time I’m at work, I’ll definitely ask them when exactly he was neutered. He’s about four years old now.
