But being that he is a long haired bunny i need to brush him as well as be able to clip his nails once in awhile are there any tips on how i can get him comfortable to be pick up? i don’t want him getting hurt and i currently look like i’ve tried to commit suicide with all the scratches and whelts up and donw my arms….I didn’t get to clip his nails.

For clipping nails, there are a few things to try. 1. Luring him into a carrier and taking him to a strange surface (table, counter, washing machine, etc) and he may be confused enough where you could pull one paw out at a time to clip, 2. Bunny burrito, 3. Take him to the vet and have them do it, most don’t charge very much.

For brushing, will he let you do it while he sits on the floor?
