         Hi,

I’ve only had my baby bunny about 4 weeks, she’s very friendly and loves to be stroked.  The only problem is recently she’s started to bite mine, and my partner’s ankles whilst we’re cleaning out teeth!!  She is currently living in the bathroom because it’s so much cooler in there, and I am about to move house.

Could it be puberty?  I have found she stops as soon as I stroke her!

        Would appreciate your help

        Thanks Jen

She wants attention. It could be partially hormonal, but it could also be her personality. If she is hurting you, then you could try squealing when she does it. She will then know that she’s hurting you.

Nipping can be a form of aggression – being territorial about “her” space…or it could be her way of communicating that she wants your attention. You could try using a high pitch yelp when she nips you, so she knows that it hurts….and hopefully she’ll modify her behavior.
