         Hi all,

        Just a quick question…

I’ve noticed that my bunny Noel is not gobbling his veg all at once like usual and seems to have lost his appetite slightly. I’ve read up on gut statis but he is still eating and pooping throughout the day so I’m not sure how worried I should be… He’s eaten about half of the veg and I’m sure it’ll be gone by the end of the day, but he usually eats pretty much all of it as soon as he gets it.

It’s much hotter than usual here so I was wondering whether he could be eating less because of the heat. I know I lose my appetite when it’s hot. He’s free to roam around my flat but has been spending most of hisdaytime in the hallway (where there are no windows so it’s cooler) and has done a lot of lying around. He’s still running around like a loon in the early morning and active in the evening, and still getting excited about treats.

So someone put my mind at rest! Is he just hot or should I take him to the vet?

        Thanks,

        Katie

I wouldn’t worry too much, if it gets worse I would call the vet.

It could be the heat. Try keeping him cooler by offering a frozen water bottle to lay against. You can also see more “Hot Weather Tips” in the Bunny Info section here on BB.
