This might seem like a stupid question, but it’s the first time I’ve ever heard Chester doing any sounds and I’m not sure what it was

He was playing around and I heard 3 consecutive sounds I’d describe as similar to a squeaky toy being squeezed – so I’m assuming it was honking. But I wanna be sure that sneezing is different! He just kept playing, then looked at me when I was like “what is that?”. No head movements or anything while making the sound.

Have you ever heard a cat sneeze? Bun sneezes are very similar. It’s a high pitched choo-ing noise. Honking can vary between buns. My two buns that honk have very similar honks. They have a low pitch honk that sounds like a cross between a pig oinking noise and a honking goose.

This is an example of a loud honk: http://youtu.be/P4ogJaVQ2aU

Yeah, it’s a definite “choo” noise. When Wooly was sneezing, he would shake his head too. You know, like an animal does when they are sneezing.

Ok, I’m pretty sure it was honking. It wasn’t as loud as the video, but sounded pretty similar. It wasn’t a “choo” sound, and he didn’t move while doing it.

Thanks guys! I’m less worried now

No problem! I was surprised when I first heard my buns honk. I was going crazy wondering if there was something wrong until I realized it was just honking. =p
