I needed a new cage for when I move into my new house. The “bunny room” there isn’t quite finished and there isn’t really anywhere to put their xpens until it is. I didn’t want something that was going to cramp them up even though it is only going to be used for them to sleep in and when I am not home.

I got them the Leith Petwerks 48in triple condo. It came today and took a few minutes to put together. I have them separated for now just long enough for everyone to learn where the litter boxes are and their food and water dishes etc. The ramps are going to be put in before bed.

These pictures are horrible because I took them with my phone and my phone has a terrible camera.

        Almost the full cage

This is Mr Dini eating some veggies

        Banji

Enki he’s a bit mad because I have just given him his medication and stuffed him in a new cage

You will love this cage – it’s pricey but it lasts forever and it looks attractive. I have my rabbit Peppermint in one and it’s about 10 years old and it’s still holding up great. It’s pretty ingenious too how they ship them and how you put them together.

I did have to rig my vacuum cleaner though to vacuum the inside of the cage because I have a Dyson with a long hose thing but I figured that out a while ago and it’s easy peasy to maintain.

I have one of these cages too, and really like it. I have a studio apt. so wanted something that would look pretty nice and the fact that it is on wheels and can act as a barrier, if positioned properly is a bonus.

My one complaint is that the non-carpeted flooring is very slippery. Of course, if Dobby would stop peeing on everything I put in his cage to help with the slipping, it wouldn’t be a big deal. 🙂

I’ve somewhat solved the problem with this…

It doesn’t slide around, absorbs a lot of moisture if you aren’t around to clean up accidents right away, and can be washed off in the sink pretty easily. I put it right by the entrance so Dobby doesn’t slide when he jumps in and out.

It is pricey indeed. It was by far the easiest cage I have ever put together. Between this and my ferrets cage which took 2 hours to put together I much preferred putting this one together.

I use a shop vac to vacuum their pens so I will probably use that to vacuum this.

Dobby the only floor without carpet on mine is the bottom floor. But all of my buns are litter box trained and I just put one of their fleece blankets on the bottom and attached it so it doesn’t slide around. My boys are also used to slippery floors since my entire house is hardwood floors or tile. But I do like that little thing for when they jump in and out of the cage.

Enki isn’t too happy about being in this cage since he just learned how to escape the x-pen and chew on my bed. Now he has no way to escape. Banji and Dini are happy as can be flopped over snoozing away.

                  That’s a great looking cage!

My mind is a blank. Are they bonded?

Your buns are just so precious. How is Enki doing?

They are bonded. But I have separate bowls and litter boxes for everyone because Dini cannot eat pellets or they give him poopy butt so he is fed on the bottom. Banji is mostly blind so he has access to water on every level plus the vet has him on a timothy hay/alfalfa blend of pellets because of how small he is (he is very tiny) and he has issues keeping weight on. And Dini and Banji are terrible with their litter box habits if there isn’t one within reach.

Enki is ok he is still sneezing and congested and the new medication isn’t doing too much to help so he has another appointment on the 24th. But he still acts like a normal bunny and still loves to take a bite out of my fingers whenever he gets the chance.
