I was given Ware’s Willow Preztel sticks which are basically really small willow twigs (if someone’s not familiar). I gave some to the bunnies and watched Monty EAT one like hay. He just chomped it down.

I know chewing is fine but what about outright eating?

Wooly does this. The stick will disappear into his mouth just as if it was a piece of hay.

            Exactly what Monty did, LOL!

I thought it was cute and then my “Bunny Momma Brain” kicked in and made me think, “I should make sure this is safe….”

              Perfectly safe

I imagine it is safe too. Just as long as they are chewing the sticks up properly. Bunnies eat twigs and stuff all the time in the wild.

                  Thank you!

Bunnies make me such a worrier sometimes.

Mine eat them too, they haven’t had any ill effects.

Ditto, it’s fine. A great fibrous treat. I feed my buns willow often. Fresh or dried.

Powder likes to eat the willow chew sticks (the big ones) like they are a carrot.
