I’m sorry I have been asking so many questions about Cookie

So I noticed a little bit ago that aside fom the crunching sound Cookie makes when he is eating his pellets, he also makes a weird slurping sound. Sorry, but that’s the best way for me to describe it. I don’t know if he was doing it before and I just didn’t notice it or what. He is his normal self, and besides these slurping noises, he is eatinng, drinking, pooping, and peeing normally. So is their any problem with these slurping noises?

My Immi grunts when she eats. I’d say that if everything else is ok the your bun is ok.

Some bunnies grunt or honk when they eat. That doesn’t really sound like “slurping” though. He isn’t having trouble getting the food in his mouth? I would be worried about tooth problems.

By all means, keep an eye out for drooling when he’s not eating. It could be that the slurping is coming from increased saliva production during eating, but if he’s drooling (or slurping) when not eating, than that could be indicative of dental problems. Buns should get regular tooth exams to catch problems early anyway. Just make sure you find a vet who REALLY knows rabbits. See if there is a house rabbit organization in your area and get a recommendation from them. I went through a terrible time with one of my buns until I did that..
