The last couple days my bunny Lola’s cecals have come out goopy and unformed. She’s a 3.5 lb. American Fuzzy Lop. 2.5 years old. Everything else seems to be fine. She’s eating, has normal poops, etc. The only thing I can figure is that it may be a diet thing, but the only real change in diet has been a special serving of some radish tops and some dandelions in addition to her regualr diet. She gets unlimited Timothy hay and 1/8 cup of pellets every day in addition to her normal salad of bok choi, parsley, and cilantro. Should I halt the special veggie servings for a while and see if that corrects the problem? Is there anything else I should be doing?

The extra greens could certainly be contributing… I wouldn’t halt them but possibly reduce it to just dandelion greens and then once her tummy stabilises slowly introduce the other greens.

I agree, Roberta gave good advice.

Your bun might have an extra sensitive tum. It doesn’t seem as though they’re being overfed, so it might be the introduction of new veggies. Try to reduce the amount of new veggies and see if your rabbit’s tum settles.

So far so good. No problems last night. I’ll keep to her basic diet for a while.
