Has he been to the vet before? I’m sure the doctor could tell if he was neutered with a quick check.

      • No but he has man parts so he’s probably not right?

If you can see the “family jewels” then there’s like a 99% chance he’s intact. Some bucks don’t act like they have all their parts. Zeus never had any behavioral issues before neutering; after he was the exact same bun. Always perfect litter habits, still honks when it’s time for snacks (LOL), never sprayed or even had an odor.

If you ever want to consider getting the bunny a friend in the future, it’s best to neuter when they are younger. But in males, the health risks for an intact bun are pretty minimal. Females absolutely need to be spayed for their health; males do not.

        • Thanks I think I’ll do a check up and LOL “family jewels”

Yup, bunnnnnnie! just about covered it. Though most bunnies do exhibit hormonal behaviors if left intact, there are a few who don’t. My first bunny, Tammo, was one of those – we only had him neutered at around 2 yrs when we learned about it, and he’d hardly ever had difficult hormone-driven behaviors. It’s still highly recommended for females to be spayed nonetheless for health reasons, and we often encourage members to have their single male bunnies neutered anyways just in case of future contact with other rabbits.
