Hey there, It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. Since I’ve been here last, things have been going great with Honey Bun! She has become a real sweetheart! Yesterday, I went to petsmart and bought her a new, bigger cage, since cages were 50% off for 4th of July!  I’ve been using a large dog crate, in the meantime. She seems to be completely scared of her new cage. It has a small second level with a ramp. Her food is supppose to be on the second level. She doesnt seem to be eating now, and just seems to sit there scared. Should I put her back in the dog crate? Should I move her food to the bottom level?

Any advice would help! Thanks so much!!!

        God Bless!

Put the food on the first level and just give her time – she’s probably confused. Honestly the second level is useless in this cage to be honest – it’s too small.

How big was your dog crate? Honestly, this cage is probably still too small for your bunny. I would just take out the shelf. It’s just taking up room.

              The minimum recommended cage size for a single med-small rabbit is 4′ X 2′, 8 sq ft. This current cage is 3′ 4 1/2″ X 1′ 5 1/4″, approx 4.8 sq ft.
