I have been litter training her, came home to find her lying on the corner of her cage next to her litter train and her whole back end is soaked in urine How shall I go about cleaning her? She seems fine in herself, shes still having a great deal of difficulty moving around her cage so I think it’s just that she really needed to go and couldnt get up (she has trouble getting herself up when she has been lying down)

        Poor little Bella Boo

Can you gently clean the urine with a wet towel or something? That’s what I did when our bunny Nelli flopped right on her sister’s puddle of pee when they were younger. I wet a towel with warm water, padded her and dried her off with a clean towel, and wrapped a dry towel around her and held on my lap until she was dry.

I patted her dry(ish) with a towel, and have completely replaced everything in her cage. I’ve covered the whole bottom in the bedding i was using for her litter tray, in the hope that she’ll dry off and we can try again with the litter training! She’s such a sweetheart, I hope her legs get stronger soon! x

He was a rescue, I got him a few months ago and he is a Lionhead x Angora …. EXTREMELY fluffy and had been very severely neglected when I got him, and is still suffering the after-effects now! Poor little bun

Ohh, haha, poor thing! I’m sure the fur will grow back really fast though, so until then, warm wishes to Barney

You might have to rinse the pee fur under running water. It probably wont remove any staining but will get the urine away from her skin.
I’d give cornstarch a go first though if you’re reluctant to get her wet. You can find it in most grocery stores.

Belle might need some traction in her cage for the moment. Some rubber matting maybe?
Or you could use those memory foam bath mats. Other owners have said they’re good cage liners and you just throw them in the wash.

Were you able to get her cleaned off? How is she doing now?

                            OMG, Barney is too cute!

I patted her with a damp towel, then dried her with a clean dry one and she has been fine ever since She’s still not getting the hang of this litter training business though! Good news on the hopping front though, I had her in the garden today and she hopped quite a long way without falling over!! Haha he’s pretty adorable, Thanks! x
