So just now I wasn’t paying attention and I slapped the tile floor with my hand.  I was near Dusty, my bun, and I visibly frightened him with the loud noise.  He darted around for a sec and thumped the ground which he has never ever done before.  I feel awful and I gave him a little bit of banana but he still seems a bit spooked.  Will he forgive me or will he constantly remember me as someone who caused him fear?  He’s a really sweet bunny and has adjusted wonderfully to his home, snuggles with me, binkies on a regular basis, lays on his side (relaxed) quite often, and generally acts like a happy rabbit.  Do you think he will, mentally, be okay and forgive me?

        Thank you in advance!

        PS-

I am a new bunny owner and am painfully neurotic  so sorry for asking silly questions!

          Welcome to BB!

It’s not a silly question. He will get over it. My rabbits are prolific thumpers but they seem to recover pretty quickly.

He will get over it. He is just telling you that he doesn’t like it.
Harley is a BIG thumper but he never acts afraid when doing it. We have a rule to keep the bathroom door closed at all time and Harley likes to tell on my husband because he goes in there every time, and thumps and honks lol I’m not sure why, but it’s my signal that my husband didn’t listen, once again, to close the bathroom door and there is a bunny in there lol
