I have tried many google searches and haven’t been able to find very much for websites to buy rabbits from. I would like to pick out the color and such. I want to get a dwarf rabbit, if that matters.
Any suggestions or good websites to buy them from?
I want the a little cutie to keep my Miri some company.

Before getting another bunny I would get Miri spayed. She won’t be able to interact with a new rabbit until about a month after the operation. She’s almost 4 months old, right? You can shop around for a vet to spay now, some will spay at this age, but I think the recommended age is 6 months.

Once she is spayed I would take her “bunny dating” to local rescues to find her a suitable companion. I would focus less on breed/color/etc… and more on personality.

You definitely must have her spayed prior to bringing another rabbit into the house.

Also if you are looking for a friend for her – let her chose her friend and adopt from a rescue – adopting from a rescue also means that you (or she actually) will chose from a rabbit that is available and needs a home…not based on breed or color – that’s really shopping not adopting :~)

Once you have her spayed then go to Petfinders and search for adoptable rabbits in your area and set up dates to take your rabbit to meet available rabbits.

Petfinder is amazing! (Too amazing, because I end up wanting to adopt EVERYONE I see!)

I agree with the others… when you have a rabbit, it’s less about what YOU want and more about who your existing bunny wants.

Spay her first. Wait a month. Then search for local rescues and let her pick out her own friend.

                 Another vote for petfinder.org.

It’s where we found Porky. We had already visited our local county shelter, and all the bunnies were very skittish and scared of our enthusiastic 5 year old boy (he’s 7 now.)  I went on petfinder, and read about a bunny a bit south of us in an area we rarely visit, who was totally relaxed around the dogs and other animals in his foster home.  When we got there it had a very noisy bird that wasn’t bothering Porky in the least.  Porky was totally calm and curious.  He happily hopped over to our very excited son and wanted to interact.  It was perfect, we knew we had found the bunny for us.  If it hadn’t been for petfinder, I would never have thought to check to see if there was a shelter in that area, since I didn’t realize some of the towns ran shelters independently from the county one.
