Is midwest a good brand to get? Also what dimensions would be best for my lops?

Absolutely…all of them are 4 feet x 4 feet but for height you want the tallest possible you can get which I think is 36 inches…

We have a Midwest and love it! I have a holland lop and bought the 36 inch height, although they came taller. I got the one with the door which makes cleaning very easy. Midwest also sells a cover that can clip to the top if you’re concerned they can jump 36 inches. I ordered mine on amaZon. It was a great price and free 2 day shipping if you’re a prime member!

You can just link NIC grids together to make a homemade x-pen.

We have two Midwest brand xpens… 36 inch height. That is the minimum height for rabbits, but they do come higher… 42 and 48 inch.

I highly recommend the ones with the walk through door. This makes it easier for cleaning because you can walk in and out without having to take the pen apart.

Hello! When I saw this thread I looked it up on amazon and am seriously considering getting one. However, will I be able to keep my bunny in this pen for the whole day (while I am at work) or would it be unsafe? He is a little guy about 3-4 pounds. I pasted the link here.

I think you could keep him in it all the time as long as you have some kind of flooring in it and you are sure he can’t/won’t try to climb out. There are also tops you can get for them, they are also midwest brand but you still wouldn’t want him climbing. My buns are bigger and don’t try to climb but I was planning on having them sleep in the xpen. (I don’t work)

X-Pens can be used instead of a cage. It’s important to remember though that they swill need out of pen time for exercise as they would if they lived in a cage.

Oh ya he will for sure get out of the pen I just don’t like his smaller cage and I feel like if I get him a bigger pen for throughout the day he may not destroy my house as often as he does.
