Well it’s been nearly 2 weeks I’ve had Brighteyes and he’s getting a lot more comfortable with everything… He barely stomps anymore and he lets us pet him and handle him more… He also struggles less when being picked up… He’s even beginning to recognize his name… or at the very least the sound of my voice..

Brighteyes seems to taken up rubbing things with his chin/under the mouth area…. He’s even done it to my feet and hands at times… It’s pretty cute but I’m not sure what it means… Does it mean he wants to be stroked there or something? Please let me know!

It’s called “chinning” and it means he’s marking stuff as “his”. It’s basically the same thing a cat is doing when you see them rub their faces all over stuff.

He’s claiming you. It’s called chinning. He’s saying this is mine also can mean I’ll eat you later but rabbits are herbivores so I wouldn’t worry too much.

This is mine and this is mine and this is mine. Oh and this is mine! This is all mine!

I would take it as a sign he is becoming more comfortable in his surroundings. He is feeling at home enough to start claiming things as his.
