Could anyone help me with sexing my bunny, Truffle? I’m just curious- he/she is quite young, and I can’t tell at all. Thanks!

Difficult to tell – I would have vet sex him/her properly.

How old is Truffle? Ditto going to the vet, which you want to do to have a baseline exam and general check up anyway. It will be more important to know the gender when Truffle is about 5 months and you set up an appt. to get a spay – or neuter.

I’m thinking boy, but it could honestly go either way. If you only have the one bunny, his/her sex doesn’t matter right now. When you take “him” in for his first vet visit, the vet will sex him for you. The testicles may become visible as early as 3-4 months, but if you don’t see them, that isn’t definitive for a girl… males can suck them in, or they may not descend right away. His name is unisex, so that’s not an issue…

I’m definitely leaning towards a buck. I mostly just wanted to know just to know, not as much because it matters. But Truffle will be off to the vet soon and he/she will be neutered as soon as Truffle is old enough. As for age, I’m not really sure, but young- I think about 7-8 weeks.

                  Boy.

You’ll know for certain in a month or so when testicles descend.

                  I love the name.
